Window Selection
Specify rectangular selection from left to right

Click and release the mouse button, move to right and click again to end the selection

Objects entirely enclosed in the boundary are select

Crossing Selection
Specify rectangular selection from  right to left

Click and release the mouse button, move to left and click again to end the selection

Objects entirely enclosed and cross by the boundary are select

Window Polygon
Specify polygonal selection

At the Select objects command prompt: WP

Pick points to specify polygonal shape boundary
Press Enter at the last point pick

Objects entirely enclosed in the boundary are select

Crossing Polygon
Specify polygonal selection

At the Select objects command prompt: CP

Pick points to specify polygonal shape boundary
Press Enter at the last point pick

Objects entirely enclosed and cross by the boundary are select

Lasso Window Selection
Specify irregular shape boundary

Click + drag from left to right

Release mouse button to end the selection
Objects entirely enclosed in boundary are select

Lasso Crossing Selection
Specify irregular shape boundary

Click + drag from right to left

Release the mouse button to end the selection
Objects entirely enclosed and cross by boundary are select

Fence Selection
Specify points to create a fence passes through the objects

At the Select objects command prompt: F

Pick multiple points to form lines go throgh objects to select them

Remove Selection
Shit + Select objects to deselect them from the selection set
